About RSGG and the Author
READY-SET-GO GENTLY is a simple parenting plan. It is the project of Linda Reeves, M.D., a Pediatrician with 30 years of experience. She is joined by Stephanie Edge, a Teacher and Instructional Partner Specialist from the field of Education. YOU can easily apply READY-SET-GO GENTLY using your own skills and common sense!
We believe that parents want real-world help. Parents are bombarded with advice, but it varies from no discipline at all, to actual child abuse, and much of it is ridiculous. Dr. Reeves is a Pediatrician and Mom, and has plenty of hands-on experience with real people. She offers a balanced, active and positive plan.
About the Author: Dr. Reeves received her M.D. from The University of Alabama in Birmingham, in 1975. She completed a residency in pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital in Birmingham and then practiced primary care pediatrics for 30 years. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her practice was multi-cultural, and she learned so much along the way! Dr. Reeves also has forty-three years of experience raising her own four children, thirteen years of hanging out with her grandchildren, and six years of teaching young adults at a community college. This project is a culmination of all that experience, mixed with a dollop of common sense and gentle humor. READY-SET-GO GENTLY is the result, and the team hopes you find it helpful!
About the Artist: The characters are brought to life by Artist Frankie Henderson, who brings a love of children plus years of experience teaching art to children from ages 3 to 12.
